Town of Thomaston Sidewalks

The sidewalks of Main Street, Thomaston were reconstituted to give a facelift to this historic community. Funding was provided with federal grants. "Thomaston Granite" was used in conjunction with polished black marble adding to the enhancements. The granite was used for planters and sweeping steps throughout main street. A new town clock and custom light poles were added to enhance the historic character of Thomaston's rich history. The Penobscot Chamber of Commerce awarded this project with the Public Improvement award in 2006.
